19.005 Glyphipterix haworthiana (Cottongrass Moth)
ws: 11-15mm (MBGBI3), fw: 6.5-7.5mm (Sterling & Parsons); Apr-May; cotton-grass (Eriophorum spp); common in damp moor, heath & mosses throughout GB
ID: Prominent white dorsal streak; a short white/silver tornal streak; 5 white/silver costal streaks in apical half and increasing in length proximally; a short silver terminal streak; a pair of silver spots in the dorsal ahlf of the termen; a black apical spot. All the other similarly marked Glyphipterix species are smaller.
