At the time of writing of MBGBI4.2 this species was known only from Bexley, Kent, but it has not been recorded in Kent since before 2000.
There is an Essex record from 1904, a Suffolk record from 1941 and MBGBI4.2 mentions 5 other records from SE England.

ID: Averages larger than other Gelechia species. Keyed in MBGBI4.2 (once identified as a Gelechia species): S2 of labial palp without a large ventral tuft; forewing without a distinct black mark at base of costa; dorsum of A1-3 ochreous-yellow; forewing not densely suffused black; first discal stigma not white ringed. But requires genital confirmation.
