49.004 Ditula angustiorana (Red-barred Tortrix)
ws: 12-18mm; Jun-Jul; various trees and shrubs; common throughout GB
ID: Fairly marked sexual dimorphism. Male antenna dentate-ciliate; female antenna simple. Male has darker fasciate markings than the female; dorsal blotch yellow-ochreous in male, taeny in female. Markings, particularly of the male, are similar to Archips xylosteana but that species has a more produced apex, squarer termen and paler hindwing.
