ws: 15-16mm; Jul-Sep; honeysuckle (Lonicera pericyclamen), fly honeysuckle (L.xylosteum), snowberry (Symphoricarpos rivularis); common in England & Wales
Generic features: Antenna without pecten; Forewing lanceolate/elongate, sometimes with erect scale-tufts; Hindwing same breadth as forewing, subtrapezoidal, tornus rounded, apex acute, variable degree of emargination of termen
Male genitalia: valva with long, slender, digitate costa, short inwardly curved sacculus, uncus with dense brush of setae
Female genitalia: signum near entrance to corpus bursae, a small plate with a transverse crease
The three British species are easily separable from each other.
