71.029 Clostera anachoreta (Scarce Chocolate-tip)
fw: 14-19mm; bivoltine Apr-May, Jul-Aug; willows/sallows (Salix spp); RDB - resident at Dungeness, Kent only, suspected rare migrant
ID: similar to C.curtula (Chocolate-tip) and C.pigra (Small Choclate-tip). In C.curtula the 'chocolate tip' is cut off proximally by the subterminal white cross-line and there are no tornal black spots. In C.anchoreta the 'chocolate tip' extends proximal to the subterminal white line and there is one medium and one small black tornal spots. C.pigra is smaller (fw: 11-14mm) and the the 'chocolate tip' is much less well defined.
