ws: 11-16mm; bivoltine Jun-Jul, Sep-Oct; thrift (Armeria maritima); predominantly coastal, local on sea-cliffs, saltmarsh and shingle beaches throughout GB
ID: Varies in: colour of markings from ochreous-brown to ferruginous-brown to fuscous-brown; strength of fasciate markings; suffusion of markings with black; suffusion of ground colour with grey. Similar to Eriopsela quadrana but differs most obviously in the proximal margin of the median fascia which is straight and directly transverse in L.littoralis and oblique and curved in E.quadrana.
