General forewing pattern of black basal streak; a dentate subbasal/antemedian line; usually a distinct and often black-ringed oval; kidney mark may be present or absent, well-marked or obscured by a diffuse median fascia; a sinuate postmedian line, convex to the termen in its costal half, concave to the termen in its dorsal half; a diffuse pale subterminal line; a chequered terminal fringe. Abdomen without a dorsal crest. Specific differences occur in the form of the sacculus in the male genitalia.
