Synonym: Evetria ramella (Pierce & Metcalfe)
Synonym: Evetria ramella (Pierce & Metcalfe)
ID: The nominate form is similar to E.bilunana but has more solidly black dorsal marks and black spots at the apex of the forewing, the dorsal spots being more diffuse and the apical spots lacking in E.bilunana. There is a variable suffusion of the paler areas, especially the dorsum, with grey. An extreme degree of this suffusion produces the distinct form costana in which the forewing is blackish-brown apart from a broad white costal margin.
