ws: 10-15mm; May-Sep; form angustana - various plants including plantains (Plantago spp), yarrow (Achillea millefolium); common at woodland edges and in meadows in most of GB; form fasciella - heather (Calluna spp) on heathland; ssp thuleana - Shetland

Eupoecilia angustana f.fasciella §4 male

ID: Has a narrower and more diffuse median fascia than E.ambiguella. Cochylis molliculana is similar but has brown head and palps (white in E.angustana).
Form fasciella has a distinctly white forewing ground colour, creamy white in the nominate form.
