70.294 Aspitates ochrearia (Yellow Belle)
fw 12-16mm; bivoltine May-Jun, Aug-Sep; various herbaceous plants; local and predominantly coastal in S.England and S.Wales.
ID: Two brownish cross-lines, the distal of which reaches the costa clearly proximal to the apex, on a yellowish ground colour. Similar to Aspitates gilvaria (Straw Belle) which lacks the proximal of these cross-lines and its distal cross-line reaches the apex, or very close to it, and does not reach the dorsum.
