fw: 13-18mm (MBGBI5.2), fw: 6-7mm (Sterling & Parsons); May-Jun; aspen, black poplar (Populus tremula/niger); local throughout GB but most common in S&SE.England

ID: Forewing white, large grey-black antemedian and postmedian dorsal blotches, obscure paler grey ocellus containing ~2 black dashes and bordered by a more prominent black marking costally, apical area ferruginous and apex falcate.
