40.011 Mompha (Anybia) Langiella (White-spot Mompha)
ws: 9.0-10.5mm (MBGBI4.1), fw: 4.5-5.0mm (Sterling & Parsons); Aug-Apr; enchanter's-nightshade (Circaea lutetiana), great willowherb (Epilobium hirsutum); local in open woodland in S&W England and Wales.
ID: Dark brown with a white spot in dorsal half at ~⅔, this spot somewhat variable in shape but most often ~rectangular. Other white/pale spots and patches are variable: a dorsal blotch in proximal half, a small white spot at ~⅓, a scattering of white scales in the apical region.
