ID: Forewings relatively long and narrow and markings relatively obscure compared with its congeners. Hindwing whitish along the costa, blackish along the dorsum and apex. Genital dissection likely to be required for confident ID.
Male genitalia: saccular spines, narrow neck, aedeagus with subapical bulge and apical cluster of small spinous cornuti. P.argyrana and P.suspectana are quite similar mainly differing in the broader neck.
Female genitalia: Ostial plate a distinctly elongate horseshoe.
