ID: Deep purplish-pink head and patagia (collar) sharply demarcated from yellow-orange thorax and tegulae. Forewing ground colour yellow-orange with purplish-pink markings: a costal blotch between a weak subbasal and a dotted antemedian line; a median costal blotch between the weakly marked stigmata; a complete median fascia from an obscured median line extending distal to and obscuring the postmedian line; a dotted subterminal line; a chequered pale and dark purplish-pink fringe.
Best distinguished from similarly marked specimens of Cirrhia iteritia (Sallow) by the deep purplish-pink patagia, yellow in X.iteritia.
