15.014 Gracillaria syringella (Garden Stilt)
ws: 10-13mm; bivoltine Apr-May, Jul; privet (Ligustrum vulgare, L.ovalifoium), ash (Fraxinus excelsior), lilac (Syringa vulgaris); abundant throughout UK.
ID: Labial palp with S2 not tufted; forewing with one or more complete or partial oblique white fasciae. The exact pattern is quite variable.
C.cuculipennella may appear similar but has a tuft of S2 of labial palp.
Note that specimens §1 & §2 were obtained outside the quoted date range for this species.
