08.005 Phylloporia bistrigella (Striped Cutter)
ws: 7-9mm (MBGBI1), fw 3-4mm (Sterling & Parsons); May-Jul; silver/downy birch (Betula pendula/pubescens), leaf-mine Jul-Aug; local and uncommon throughout UK; can be found in daylight flying around birches on heaths; comes to light.
ID: Small size; head white; forewing brassy-brown with broad white antemedian and postmedian lines. The postmedian line may be incomplete; a preapical white spot is sometimes present.
