fw: 16-19mm; May-Jul, occasionally bivoltine Aug-Sep; mainly oaks (Quercus spp), birches (Betula spp) or beech (Fagus sylvatica); common in woodland in most of England & Wales, local in Northumberland, Cumbria and S.Scotland
ID: Forewing green (brighter in male, lighter in female) with 3 narrow more or less parallel diagonal white cross-lines, costa slightly curved; antennae orange or pink, labial palps and forelegs pink; male has a pink terminal fringe and yellow-white hindwing, female has a greenish terminal fringe and a white hindwing.
