73.350 Eurois occulta (Great Brocade)
fw: 24-27mm (Waring & Townsend), 23.6-29.0mm (my specimens), ws: 52-64mm (MBGBI9); Jul-Sep; bog-myrtle (Myrica gale) and other herbaceous plants; NS-B central and western Scottish highlands and scarce migrant.
ID: Residents usually have a dark grey to blackish forewing ground colour while migrants are a paler grey. Markings include pale antemedian and postmedian lines and usually more diffuse pale subbasal and subterminal lines; a usually oblique pale-outlined or solidly pale oval and a larger pale-outlined kidney mark; often black streaks extend proximally from the subterminal line.
