fw 15-17mm; Aug-Oct; pedunculate oak (Quercus robur); common in broadleaved woodland in S.England and Wales, local in N.England and Scotland.

ID: Ground colour varies from pale green to blackish green and has a variable degree of rosy-brown suffusion. Crosslines whitish with a variable dark edging; oval usually paler than kidney and often a pale blotch immediately dorsal to the oval mark.
