73.131 Luperina testacea (Flounced Rustic)
fw: 14-18mm; Aug-Sep; grasses (Poaceae); common in England, Wales and S.Scotland, local in C&N.Scotland.
ID: Variable in size, forewing breadth, forewing colour from dull straw to blackish-brown and a dark bar between the antemedian and postmedian cross-lines near the dorsum may or may not be present; hindwing also varies from white to brownish-white or grey.
L.nickerlii (Sandhill Rustic) has oval very small and round, kidney mark white-edged; hindwing pure silky white.

Male genitalia: Clavus without a distinct dorsal projection; aedeagus smoothly curved on concave surface
Female genitalia: Margin of ostium slightly concave
