ws: 7-8mm (MBGBI2), fw 3.5-4.0mm (Sterling & Parsons); bivoltine - May-Jun, Aug; oak (Quercus spp); common in woodland with mature oaks throughout UK except N.Scotland
ID: Head ochreous. Similar to B.demaryella which is larger (ws: 8-9mm, fw 4.0-4.5mm) and has a brown vertex.
