49.322 Dichrorampha plumbagana (Lead-coloured Yarrow Moth)
fw: 10-15mm; Jun; yarrow (Achillea millefolium); fairly common throughout GB
Synonym: Hemimene plumbagana (Pierce & Metcalfe)

Dichrorampha plumbagana §1 female
ID: Median dorsal blotch obscured, grey; forewing ground colour olive-brown. Requires genital determination.
Male genitalia: No juxta lobes; valva with a narrow neck; apical lobe of cucullus larger than tornal lobe and with a small prominence on its proximal margin. As far as I have been able to determine from comparison of images this small prominence is the only feature distinguishing D.plumbagana from D.obscuratana which has recently been added to the British list.
Female genitalia: Sclerotised antrum short, extends to ~¼ the length of A7. As far as I have been able to determine the female genitalia of D.plumbagana and D.obscuratana are indistinguishable.
