fw: 13-18mm; Apr-May; Sallows (Salix spp), birches (Betula spp), honeysuckle (Lonicera spp), alder (Alnus glutinosa); common in England, Wales
and lowland Scotland.
ID: Most often pale grey with indistinct cross-lines. Sometimes brownish-grey or greenish-grey and sometimes median and postmedian cross-lines more distinct. Lobophora alternata (Seraphim) averages smaller (fw: 12-15mm) and has a distinct grey basal cross-line.
