Mesogona
185 Mesogona acetosellae (Pale Stigma) Formerly placed in subfamily Noctuinae Rare migrant with one British record, Oct 1895. |
Agrochola
186 Agrochola lychnidis (Beaded Chestnut) |
Taxonomic note:
The genus Agrochola as listed in the RES Checklist, 2013 was paraphyletic. The 7 species originally listed have been divided amongst 4 genera in the 5th update, January 2022, following Ronkay 2017. The RES checklist has, however, maintained log number order in preference to adopting the full taxonomic revision proposed by Ronkay - which has genus Leptoligia placed before Anchoscelis. Further revision is likely as Spudaea is better placed with Xanthia and Tiliacea with Cosmia. For now, I have followed the RES order except that I have placed subgenus Haemachola before Leptoligia - the RES checklist has divided the two subspecies of Anchoscelis either side of Leptoligia. |
