70.176 Eupithecia intricata (Freyer's\Edinburgh Pug)
ws: 20-24mm, fw: 12-13mm*; May-Jun; cypress (Cupressus spp), juniper (Juniperus spp); ssp arceuthata (Freyer's Pug) is common in England & Wales, ssp millieraria (Edinburgh Pug) occurs in NW England and Scotland, ssp hibernica (Mere's Pug) is confined to the Burren in Ireland
*Note that the ws quoted by UKmoths and others is not compatible with the fw quoted by Waring, these sizes do not even overlap!
My ssp arceuthata specimens range in fw from 10.2-12.8mm which would give ws ~ 21-26.5mm and my ssp millieraria specimen has fw 11.4mm

Eupithecia intricata millieraria (Edinburgh Pug) §9 male
ID: Sinuous cross-lines angled near costa; elongate central spot on forewing; conspicuous central spot on hindwing; dark belt on dorsum at base of abdomen (S2); short lines of black scales on forewing veins. ssp arceuthata is brown or grey-brown; ssp millieraria, averages smaller, darker and is less strongly marked.
