ws: M16-21mm, F17-25mm; May-Oct; various herbaceous plants; native of Australia, first recorded in GB in 1936, now common throughout GB
ID: Sexually dimorphic. Male with sharp demarcation of basal part of forewing and ferruginous distal part. Female has longer forewings with a produced apex and a more uniform colouration. Very variable.
