Synonym: Epiblema scutulana f. cirsiana (BTM)
Synonym: Epiblema scutulana f. cirsiana (BTM)
ID: Distinguished from male E.scutulana by the absence of a large white apico-tornal patch and by the dark fuscous hindwing. E.costipunctana shows light strigulation across the white medio-dorsal blotch. Genital dissection required to distinguish from E.cnicolana, E.sticticana and E.tetragonana. Specimen §1 confirmed by dissection but no good images obtained.
