ws: 15-22mm (Goater), fw: 8-11mm (Sterling & Parsons); May-Aug; moss?; common throughout GB
ID: a variable species easily confused with some of its congeners especially Eudonia truncicolella, E.murana, E.lineola, and S.basistrigalis.
Genital dissection readily identifies this species.
Male genitalia: Aedeagus with 2 strong (and another variable) cornuti, attached at their base.
Female genitalia: Ductus bursae clearly narrower than antrum; posterior sclerotisation short, narrow; posterior sclerotisation absent
