57.005 Thymelicus lineola (Essex Skipper)
ws: 26-30mm; late Jun-Aug; cock's-foot (Dactylis glomerata) and other grasses; common in south, central and south-east England and East Anglia.
ID: Almost identical to T. sylvestris (Small Skipper) except that the underside of the antennal club is black in T.lineola and orange in T.sylvestris.
The male sex brand on the forewing upperside of T.lineola is shorter and narrower than that of T.sylvestris
