ID: The English name denotes the black stripe along the proximal border of the subbasal cross-band. Further characterised by the paler (usually straw-coloured) central cross-band contrasting with the purplish-brown terminal area of the forewing. Unlikely to be confused with any other species, but see A.derivata (Streamer).
