37.066 Coleophora laricella (Larch Case-bearer)
ws: 8-11mm; Jun-Jul; European larch (Larix decidua); Common in woodland throughout Britain.
ID: Forewing plain; antenna grey or grey ringed dark grey > C.laricella
However it seems that the antenna may also be ringed grey and white (not mentioned in MBGBI2, but apparent from other web images eg lepiforum.de and §2 below) in which case genital dissection is required.
Male Genitalia: Uncus exceptionally broad and notched
Female Genitalia: Signum large, spike <1/2 length of bursa copulatirx; ostium central and in same plane as subgenital plate; introitus vaginae shorter than coarsely spiculate section of ductus bursae (which starts just anterior to SGP), slightly dilated finely spiculate segment of ductus bursae anterior to the coarsely spiculate section.
