Caryocolum vicinella §2 male
ID: Frons whitish, head otherwise greyish-fuscous; antennal scape dark fuscous with a white ring at apex; thorax fuscous; forewing blackish fuscous without orange-ochreous markings and with (usually) 4 white spots - a partial fascia at 1/4, a dorsal blotch at 1/2, a costal spot and a tornal spot at 4/5 - the dorsum may be whitish between the markings at 1/4 and 1/2 and the costal and tornal spots may be more or less confluent; blackish spots may be discernible or obscured by the ground colour - middle of base proximal to 1st white spot, plical elongate between first and second white spots, 2 discal spots proximal and distal to costal edge of 2nd white spot.
