12.041 Monopis monachella (Monk Moth)
ws: 12-20mm (MBGBI2), fw: 6-10mm (Sterling & Parsons); May-Sep; RDB resident in coastal Suffolk and possibly Norfolk, rare migrant mainly to Kent.
ID: Quite distinctive: white head and thorax and a large white costal patch in the apical half of the forewing, which partially obscures the hyaline spot characteristic of the genus.
