15.090 Phyllocnistis saligna (Willow Bent-wing)
ws: 6-7mm; bivoltine Jul, Sep-Apr; purple willow (Salix purpurea); uncommon south of the Wash
ID: Forewing with two parallel median fuscous streaks. Means of separation from P.ramulicola in the adult stage not established (by me) - possibly the two curved transverse fuscous lines immediately distal to the longitudinal fuscous streaks have a brownish suffusion between them in P.saligna and clear white ground colour between them in P.ramulicola (based on images as Pathpiva). Said to be separable on genital dissection, but the distinguishing features are not clear (to me) from the images available at Moth Dissection.
