ws: 7-9m; Apr-Nov; evergreen oak (Quercus ilex), deciduous oak (Quercus sp), hornbeam (Carpinus betulus), sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa), beech (Fagus sylvatica); common throughout UK.
ID: Forewing markings appear white on a coloured background, C1D1 not forming a complete transverse fascia, thorax without a lighter median line; apex of C1 not distal to apex of D1; basal streak and strigulae edged black; D1 and D2 much narrower than the space between them.
