70.213 Macaria signaria (Dusky Peacock)
fw: 13-14mm (Waring and Townsend); May-Jul; conifers; rare migrant with <20 British records 1970-2000, breeding in Kent since 2005.
ID: Similar to M.notata (Peacock) and M.alternata (Sharp-angled Peacock); differs as follows: concavity in apical half of termen very shallow and its cilia not so constrastingly dark compared with the tornal half of the termen; hindwing much less pointed (120-130° vs 100-110°); blotch in postmedian fascia a solid square rather than a "paw-print".
