fw: 13-15mm (Waring & Townsend), ws: 30-36mm (UKMoths), ws: 34-37mm (MBGBI10)*; Jun-Jul, partially bivoltine Jul-Aug, diurnal; various herbaceous plants; RDB – resident in breckland of Norfolk & Suffolk, sand and shingle beaches of the Suffolk coast, flowery chalk downs in Wiltshire and is a probable scarce migrant.

ID: Differs from H.maritima (Shoulder-striped Clover) in the absence of a basal streak, a more shallowly angled median fascia and in habitat (H.maritima is found on acid heathland).
