73.173 Oligia strigilis (Marbled Minor)
fw: 11-13mm (Waring & Townsend), ws: 24-27mm (MBGBI10); May-Jul; grasses (Poaceae); common throughout GB
ID: See Oligia. Very variable and cannot be reliably separated from O.latruncula (Tawny Marbled Minor) or O.versicolor (Rufous Minor) without genital dissection. Larger specimens with a chalky white subterminal band and an orange posterior thoracic tuft are likely to be O.strigilis.
Male genitalia: Harpe - long, slender and almost straight; pollex - long and slender; harpe ~same length as pollex
Female genitalia: Distinct constriction between antrum and ductus bursae; fairly large sclerotised area of corpus bursae
