ws: 12-15mm (MBGBI4.2); Jun-Jul; elm (Ulmus spp); common throughout UK
ID: See Carpatolechia - If recognised as Carpatolechia, the features used in MBGBI4.2 to separate it from its congeners are: Forewing white with dark streak on fold OR patch of raised scales dorsal to fold OR heavily suffused; Labial palps fuscous banded whitish - however it is very unlikely that this species could be confidently identified to genus without genital dissection.
Male genitalia: digitate lobes ~1/2 length of valvae; valvae very long, reaching almost to apex of uncus (with the uncus extended), uncus somewhat rounded.
