The two species included in this subfamily were included within the Cnaphasidii of Pierce and Metcalfe despite them not possessing the defining feature of that group (signum as a dentate band). I do not know the defining features for this subfamily - however in the male genitalia of both genera the valvae have a central opening that extends distally and ends in a socketed spine which projects from the ventral margin.
