ws: 15-21mm; bivoltine Jun-Jul, Jul-Aug; purple loostrife (Lythrum salicaria); pRDB fens and broads of East Anglia
ID: the three forms occurring in GB are all distinctive and unlikely to be confused with any other species. This species has a narrow forewing with an acutely angled apex and all forms have a light brownish-ochreous ground colour.
Form flavana: veins stand out whitish, scattered black scales, only a hint of a blackish disco-cellular spot
Form uliginosana: large black disco-cellular spot
Form striana: medial longitudinal blackish to ferruginous-brown streak from base to apex
