fw: 14-16mm (Waring & Townsend), ws: 32-36mm (MBGBI10); Jul-Aug; common reed (Phragmites australis); local in reedbeds in England and Wales.
ID: Forewing ground colour varies from light straw to light reddish-brown, the colour becoming darker towards the termen; hindwing fuscous with paler veins and whitish fringes. Antenna: male - shortly and densely ciliate; female - sparsely ciliate.
