fw: 13-15mm; May-Jun, diurnal; wood sage (Teucrium scorodonia);
local to common in open woodland in England, Wales and much of Scotland
ID: Bold brownish blotches on yellow wings. Note that the forewing is more boldly marked on the underside and the hindwing more boldly marked on the upperside.
