49.166 Celypha lacunana (Common Marble)
ws: 14-18mm; May-Aug; various herbaceous plants; common throughout GB

Celypha lacunana §10 male
ID: very variable but usually recognisable by a longitudinal streak of ground colour just costal to the middle of the median fascia.
Male genitalia: Ventral margin of sacculus/valva complex with three lobes the most proximal of which is without spines, the middle one is of similar size and beset with many moderate spines and the most distal is smaller with very long spines (P&M states that this long-spined lobe is at the junction between valva and sacculus but it is not clear to me which of these parts it is derived from). Uncus weak. Aedeagus small, without cornuti.
Female genitalia: ostium attached to a deeply bilobed narrow plate.
