A.repandana and A.consociella have a strong straight antemedian line and differ from each other in the colour of the forewing proximal to this line - pink in A.repandana grey in A.consociella. A.suavella has strong transversely placed discal spots and the first line approaches the dorsum obliquely. A.advenella has obliquely placed discal spots and the forewing base is usually fuscous or blackish. A.marmorea usually has touching slightly oblique discal dots and the forewing base is crimson or reddish. A.tumidana has a ridge of raised scales distal to the antemedian line
