73.053 Cucullia (Cucullia) chamomillae (Chamomile Shark)
fw: 19-23mm; Apr-May; scentless mayweed (Tripleurospermum inodorum), corn/stinking/chamomile (Anthemis arvensis/cotula), feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium); local in open grassy places mainly on calcareous soils in England and S.Scotland.
ID: Similar to C.umbratica (Shark) which averages larger (fw: 22-26mm) and flies Jun-Aug. In C.chamomilae the black lines along the forewing veins extend into the terminal cilia, whereas in C.umbratica they don’t.
