ws: 9-11mm; Jul-Aug; lichen on bare wood; common in England and Wales
ID: Similar to B.internella and B.lambdella. Distinguished by: size - B.lambdella ws 13-18mm; distribution - B.internella is rare and confined to pine and larch woodland in Herefordshire, Wiltshire and Hertfordshire; shape of lambda mark - narrow-based and abruptly tapered to a pointed process; male genitalia - sacculus reaching end of valva.
