ws: 7.5-9.0mm; bivoltine May-Jun, Aug; beech (Fagus sylvatica); common throughout UK
ID: Forewing markings white on a coloured background; C1 D1 not forming a complete transverse fascia; thorax with a white median line; 4C3D; apex of C1 opposite apex of D1; strigulae and basal streak with black edging; angle between anterior borders of C1 and D1 acute; forewing ground colour more orange than brown; apical streak short - to just past C4; basal streak extending to proximal margin of D1.
