62.035 Acrobasis advenella (Hawthorn Knot-horn)
ws: 18-24mm; Jul-Aug; hawthorn (Crataegus spp), rowan (Sorbus aucuparia); locally common in hedgerows and gardens in England, Wales and S.Scotland

ID: Antemedian line arched, approaches dorsum at 90°, stronger in dorsal half; often shows a reddish wedge proximal to antemedial line, delineated proximally by a transverse white line, both the wedge and the line reaching more-or-less to the costa; discal dots reddish oblique and often indistinct. Variable in the amount of reddish suffusion of the silvery ground colour, especially in the median fascia.
Male genitalia: Gnathos with a ventral groove extending most of its length and bifid from the apex for a variable length along this groove.
Female genitalia: The only Acrobasis species without a distinct signum
