70.078 Thera cognata (Chestnut-coloured Carpet)
fw: 11-14mm; Jul-Aug; common juniper (Juniperus communis); NS-B mainly in moorland in Scotland, N.England and Wales
ID: Characterised by chestnut ground colour and median fascia which remains broad in dorsal portion and shows relatively little indentation of its margins. Averages smaller then T.obeliscata/britannica (Grey Pine/Spruce Carpet) (13-17mm). §3 seems somehwat aberrant in having a narrow median fascia that diappears completely before reaching the dorsum.
